Are you interested in having 85% brand recall among your target audience? A new study was just released by ASI (Advertising Specialty Institute) that proves promotional products are the most high-impact, cost effective advertising medium. Therefore, incorporating promotional products into your 2019 marketing budget is going to help ensure your success!
Want more? When consumers were asked what types of adversing they like best, promotional products were ranked the most highly regarded form of advertising. In addition, brand recall for promotional items is substantial – 85% of consumers remember the advertiser worldwide. Finally, the 2019 study shows consumers are nearly 2.5 times more likely to have a positive opinion of promotional products compared to internet advertising.
Plus, the study proves promotional products offer a strong rate of return on investment (ROI). The cost per impression (CPI) on promo products can be as low as 1/10 of one cent which is lower than any other advertising medium. This makes promo products an attractive choice for businesses of all sizes but especially smaller businesses with a more limited budget.
Other highlights from ASI’s 2019 Global Ad Impressions Study include:
- Overall Ownership of Promo Items Remains High. U.S. households own an average of 30 promo products with nearly 9 in 10 consumers reporting they own branded pens as well as drinkware.
- Millennials Prefer American-Made and Environmentally Friendly Items. For consumers between the age 18-34, nearly 58% have a more favorable opinion of an advertiser if the product they received was environmentally friendly and made in the USA.
- Promo Products Have Tremendous Staying Power. The average length of time a consumer keeps a promotional product is about one year. In terms of product categories, outerwear, umbrellas and t-shirts stick around the longest.
- Promo Products Make an Impression. In the U.S., outerwear generates the most impressions (6,100 over its lifetime) because it’s often worn in public places. Other items that deliver a large number of impressions are headwear, t-shirts and writing instruments.
Study findings were based on thousands of online surveys of consumers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and parts of Europe. Click here to view the full 2019 Global Ad Impressions Study.
